dhakal is a researcher and independent journalist/documentary photographer whose work focuses on understanding human – environment relationships and how they are being shaped and reshaped by climate change. His reporting and photography have appeared in major local, regional, and international outlets, including NPR, Inter Press Service, Mongabay, The Xylom, Wisconsin Watch, Indiana Public Media, Think Global Health, ICIJ, and The Guardian, among others.
